This guide will help you understand the different user roles and permissions available within MirrorWeb Insight, enabling you to assign appropriate access levels based on responsibilities and compliance needs
🔍 Use Case
Communications
Allows access to the Communications module, enabling users to:
- Run searches across communications data
- View and review archived communications content
Communications Admin
Provides administrative capabilities within the Communications module, allowing users to:
- Manage and update lexicon dictionaries
- Configure and maintain policies
- Set up and adjust exclusions for message filtering
Communications Privileged
Grants access to privileged communications, specifically:
- View any messages that were marked as privileged during ingest
- Ensure appropriate handling of sensitive or confidential messages
Management
Grants full access to the Management module. Users with this role can:
- Change organization-wide settings
- Add and remove users
- Manage team membership (adding and removing users from teams)
Sentinel
Provides access to the Sentinel module, allowing users to:
- Configure, manage, and review compliance scenarios
- Monitor alerts and flagged content
- Investigate and resolve potential compliance issues
Trusted Contacts User
Grants access to the Trusted Contacts application, enabling:
- Viewing and managing their own trusted contacts
- Access to contact details in line with their assigned privileges
Trusted Contacts Management
Provides administrative control over the Trusted Contacts module, allowing users to:
- Manage all trusted contacts users
- Configure organization level settings
Web
Allows access to the Web module, enabling users to:
- Browse the list of archived web captures
- View and navigate archived versions of webpages for review or investigation
