Requirements
You will need;
- User email address
- User mobile phone number
- Users individual contact preference (if applicable and different to the Org-level)
Simple Walkthrough
Here are the high-level steps;
- Log into Insight and go to Management and to Trusted Contacts
- Default preferences for the organisation can be set in the top section (Personal or Business)
- Invite new user, enter their email address and mobile phone number
- Pending invites can be seen under Invites
- Once Active, you can edit the Individual configuration under Configure user defaults
Detailed Walkthrough
Here is the detailed step-by-step;
1. On the Homepage, click on Management.
2. Then, click on Trusted Contacts.
3. The first section is where you set the default preference for your organisation. Click Select preference. N.B. You need to select a default that will apply to the organisation and the users added.
4. Select either Business or Personal from Default contact preference. N.B. If you choose Business, any messages from a number that hasn't been set-up in Trusted Contacts will be treated as a business number and archived. Personal means that messages are treated as private and these aren't archived.
5. Then, click on Save to set the org-level default. This will then apply going forwards, to any new users that are set up.
6. To create a new user, click on Invite User.
7. In the Email address field, enter the users email.
8. In the Phone number field, enter the users mobile number. Make sure the correct country is selected.
9. If you with to add multiple users, then select Invite more users.
10. Click on Invite User.
Active and Pending Invites
11. All new invites, will be in the Invites section.
12. Here, you can also Resend invitation to the user if needed. N.B. Invites expire after 7 days.
13. Click on Send, to resend their invite email.
14. Once the user has accepted the invite, you will see them under the Active section.
User Configuration
15. You can also edit the users settings if you click on Configure user defaults.
16. Here, you can set up the users Individual default preferences. N.B. You only need to do this should it differ from the Org-Level default set earlier in the process.
17. Click on Save to set the individual-level default. N.B. This will then apply going forwards, to any new messages that are captured and no contact preference is assigned to them in Trusted Contacts.
